Coonawarra Vineyard Update And New Release Wines

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

News from the Vineyard & Winery

Walking through the vineyard rows this time of year is always such a treat. The vines are coming out of dormancy and the fresh shoots are brightening up the vineyard. The vines are in the middle of flowering and fruit set which is a critical time in the development of the bunches for the 2021 vintage.

Although our Cellar Door has been closed for wine tasting much the year, we have been busy both in the vineyard and with the build of our new winery and function space. The stone mason arrived onsite last week and we are looking forward to opening in January 2021 for private wine tastings and weddings.

Embrace the Festive Season with Our New Release Wines

New release 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2018 vintage was an excellent vintage which will be remembered for years to come. This Cabernet Sauvignon is beautifully balanced with a subtle tannin structure and delicious dark fruit flavours.

New release 2019 Field Blend

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Shiraz. This small batch is picked, blended, then co-fermented to enhance the fusion of these unique varietal characters.

We thank you again for your continued support and for supporting small business. We look forward to seeing you in Coonawarra at our Cellar Door again.

Cheers

Angus, Brian and the Whistle Post Team
