Coonawarra Wine Store Launches

Coonawarra Vignerons announce the launch of a new e-commerce store allowing wine lovers to purchase curated mixed packs of Coonawarra wine.

Australian wine lovers can now buy mixed bundles of wine from the Coonawarra Wine region online, directly from the producers and owners themselves packaged and sent from the region to their door.

After the pandemic-enforced cancellation of the Coonawarra Wine Tasting Roadshow,  the first time in its 27 year history, Coonawarra wineries were unable to take to the road and travel to wine fans across Australia.

With the assistance of COVID Recovery grant funding via the South Australian Wine Industry Development Scheme provided by Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA)  Coonawarra Vignerons have launched a dedicated online store with exclusive mixed wine packs, featuring more than 20 Coonawarra wine labels.

For the first time in the history of the region, Coonawarra has gathered 22 of its producers to participate in this collaboration, in an effort to highlight the variety of wines produced in the area, from some of the longest standing wineries in Australia.

Owner and Winemaker of Patrick of Coonawarra, Luke Tocaciu is proud the Coonawarra community collaborated to create this project.

“We are a close-knit community here in Coonawarra and often work together in our winemaking and promotion of the region. It made sense for us to come together and collaborate in these regional wine packs to take a taste of Coonawarra out to the world,” said Mr Tocaciu.

Having produced wine since the 18th century, travellers heading to the region understand Coonawarra has a reputation for producing some of the best wine varieties that grace our shelves, creating world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc and winemakers want to share their passion.

This special corner of the world, a half day drive from Adelaide and Melbourne, has captured the attention of visitors for decades, inspired by the stunning scenery, its Terra Rossa soil, the charm of its residents, and of course, exceptionally crafted wine and food.

The new website allows consumers to buy EXCLUSIVE mixed Coonawarra wine packs, from the comfort of their own home.

This online offering is making the wine from the region more accessible to consumers, showcasing the variety of world class wines coming from the area.

While the Coonawarra wine region is famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon and well known for its reds in general, the wine packs will incorporate other award winning varieties.

It’s an opportunity for Australians to learn more about this region, surprising themselves with the breadths of the varieties it offers, allowing them to immerse themselves in the magic of Coonawarra without having to leave their homes.

These exclusive wine packs have been curated by the Coonawarra Vignerons (the member association body for the wine region)  and are designed to showcase the best of Coonawarra’s participating wineries.

This is an opportunity for consumers to receive an online experience like no other.
